Kusatsu International Ski Resort
The Kusatsu International Ski Resort, first opened in the early Taisho Era, is one of the oldest and loved ski resorts in Japan.
At that time, ski lifts and artificial snow were new to the Japanese and they were first used in this resort.
The ski resort encompasses the area from 2000-meter high Mt. Shirane to 1245-meter high Mt. Tengu. The ski course from the peak is 8000 meters long. Free shuttle bus leaves from Kusatsu Now Resort Hotel.
The travel to the ski resort takes only one minute.
Mt. Shirane
Autumn starts from early October at the peak of Mt. Shirane.
In late October, autumn colors are seen in the town, so it's nice to enjoy the autumn scenery from our onsen baths. In November, autumn is everywhere in Kusatsu. Autumn is the best season for walking.

Kataoka Tsurutaro Art Museum
About 100 pieces of artwork by the Japanese actor and painter are displayed in the gallery. The artwork includes ink paintings and ceramic wares. The exhibition content changes every season.

Kusatsu Tropical Garden
Kusatsu Tropical Garden is heated with the geothermal heat of hot springs.
Here you can find rare animals, such as iguanas and pygmy marmosets known as the world's smallest monkey, as well as colorful tropical plants.
Takehisa Yumeji Art Gallery, located in the hotel
Takehisa Yumeji, a Japanese painter and poet, was active from late Meiji Era to early Showa Era. His artwork includes woodcut prints, post cards, letterheads, handkerchief designs, and drinking glasses. There is a gift shop.
Cycling Course
Cycling course is two minutes on foot from the hotel. Ride rental bicycles in the fresh air and see the beautiful surroundings of Kusatsu Kogen. Rental fee: 1000 yen for two hours.
