Kusatsu Onsen is famous for producing the largest amount of naturally hot water in Japan. Naraya's baths are filled with the excellent Shirohata onsen water and well-known in the area.

Shirohata hot spring is the oldest in town and they say Minamoto no Yoritomo (the first shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate) found it.

Naraya has separate baths for men and women. There are private baths as well.

Hinoki Bath: 3,150 yen (45 minutes)
Hyotan Bath: 1,050 yen (45 minutes)

The guest rooms are all Japanese rooms. Two of them have a view of Yubatake, the largest hot spring in Kusatsu Onsen.

A kotatsu (a futon-covered table with an electric heater attached to the underside of the table) is installed in each room during the winter. This is the Japanese way to stay warm in winter.

Each room has a TV with satellite channels.

Fish dish can be changed to meat dish (please request beforehand). Only Japanese dinner is available. However, European dinner can be arranged at our sister hotel, Kusatsu Now Resort Hotel, if you prefer.
